A New Era A new era has begun in the world of health insurance for small businesses. On November 17, 2010, the South Carolina Health Cooperative was introduced as the state's first licensed health insurance cooperative. The Cooperative is a nonprofit company focused on the health insurance needs of small businesses and their employees. As a health insurance advocate, the Cooperative's action-based mission is to work with providers to find the best plans for the best prices. Founded on the principle that everyone deserves the peace of mind that high quality health care insurance can provide, the Cooperative offers a new approach to health care that empowers companies and individual policy holders.
Crosby Insurance Group has been selected as the official agency for the Lowcountry region of South Carolina. As the representative agency for this region, Crosby Insurance Group will be helping area small businesses, those with two to 50 employees, enroll into the co-op. Applications for membership are currently being accepted in order to offer health insurance rate relief and a long-term health insurance solution for many South Carolina businesses.
